Victoria and Albert Museum Doormat - Bird and Butterfly

This doormat features a design for a textile or wallpaper from the V&A’s archives, created in 1918 by C.F.A. Voysey (1857–1941), one of the most enduringly popular designers of the Arts and Crafts Movement. As a practicing architect, he also created a wide variety of household items. His flat surface designs are among his most well-known pieces to this day and are distinguished by stylized and simple motifs taken from the natural world.
