Victoria and Albert Museum Doormat - Dianthus
SKU: V314
The elegant carnation surrounded by leaves showcased on this mat draws inspiration from an Arts and Crafts wallpaper archived at the V&A. Known as Compton, this design was created in 1895-6 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton, England, the residence of Laurence Hodson. It is believed to be a collaborative effort between William Morris (1834-96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859-1932). Explore entryways' V&A Collection with doormats available in two sizes: 18" by 30" and 24" by 36". Each mat combines style and functionality, crafted from top-quality all-natural coir to meet the highest durability standards. Additionally, these doormats are hand-stenciled with eco-friendly dyes for enduring vibrancy.
