Victoria and Albert Museum Doormat - Squirrels and Berries
SKU: V342
The repeat pattern of squirrels, birds and butterflies featured on this doormat is based on a design in the V&A's collection, originally created in 1909 by C.F.A. Voysey (1857–1941). Voysey was particularly fond of birds and his designs often featured other woodland animals in silhouette. One of his greatest talents was simplifying their complex forms into blocks of color while retaining their defining characteristics.
